Check here for important info about the posted schedule!
Please wear your badge at all times. Your badge is considered part of your uniform, and without your badge, you are not properly attired and will be sent home.
Concert hall attire is an ironed white button up, no polos or t-shirts, with black pants and closed-toed black dress shoes. Please allow yourself plenty of time to park when coming to work, so that you are where you need to be at the time you are scheduled for.
Please remember that you should be checking in with Veronica at the time you are scheduled to be here, not parking at the time you are scheduled to be here.
-If you need to request certain days off, email Kevin (kglouner@vonbrauncenter.com). Requests not submitted in writing will not be honored.
-Requests for days off need to be submitted 2 weeks before you need off, before the tentative schedule is posted. Once the schedule is finalized, we ask that you find someone to take your shift. You may submit requests for days off as long as the schedule is tenative, but it's better if you ask before the tenative schedule is posted.
-In case of an emergency and you are not able to come in on the day of, please call Veronica 256-520-8069. Leave a message if noone answers.
-The schedule is posted every Monday. That Monday through the weekend will be finalized, and the finalized schedule will not change without you being contacted first. The following weekend will be tentatively scheduled, and may be changed when it is finalized on that Monday. So check the schedule every Monday! If you are not scheduled on the tenative schedule, and therefore make plans, go ahead and email me the days you are unavailable, so I don't schedule you in case something comes up when I finalize the schedule that you might get assigned for.
-"Am I a stand manager?" If you are wondering whether or not you are a stand manager, our policy on stand manager assignments is usually when you are the direct supervisor over three or more people in a stand. Concert hall shifts, deli shifts, Nut / Dippin Dots shifts and playhouse shifts are not stand manager shifts.
You may receive a demerit for the following:
-Lateness
-Failure to show up for a scheduled shift, without calling out
-Failure to show up for a scheduled shift, without finding a replacement
-Leaving a shift without a supervisor's approval before the shift is complete
-Being asked to leave early due to conflict or other issue
-Failure to wear the correct uniform
(1) demerit means you get a warning.
(2) demerits will prohibit you from being scheduled for three weeks.
(3) demerits and you will be asked to turn in your badge and you will not be scheduled anymore.
